So, Anil and I went around to do our mini "food vlog" for his blog while shooting for his UT assignment and we came across this small store, tucked discretely. Of Bussorah Street, you can't miss the store as it is right in front of the Sultan mosque.
Anyway, Anil,if you read this "Gelato Di Posto Storico" means a historical ice cream store!
To my surprised, we came across this sign just outside the pushcart saying "Muslim Owned". Now, we all know how conservative muslim people are especially about Halal/Non-Halal food. And since nowadays, we know that even ice-creams might have lard in it, safe to say, the owner of this place knows how to fish the hearts of the muslim people.
Let's go down straight to the ice-cream yeah? At the pushcart, they served 4 different flavours. Hazelnut Chocolate, Old-English Strawberry, Passion Fruit and Lemon Sorbet. Trust me, the flavours are not your typical ice cream flavours. Anil had the Lemon Sorbet while I had the Old-English Strawberry flavoured ice-cream. The Lemon Sorbet would send you a wake up call if you're feeling sleepy that day. It really has a tangy, soury taste but not to an extreme. It's just the right amount to make you go "woah!" after the taste. Literally, Anil and I had that expression after we tasted it. The Old-English Strawberry had a unique taste. You know how typical Strawberry would be just sweet? This had bits of strawberries in it and had the natural strawberry taste. Like I promised, all the foods I posts are cheap! A cup goes for only $3.90! Definitely, not your typical ice-cream. Something for you during a hot sunny day!
**Damn!! I ended the post like a primary school student would in a composition.
